Our Litigation Practice
Litigation is at the heart of AMA’s practice. Our lawyers hold rights of audience across all levels of the Omani courts, including the Supreme Court, enabling the Firm to conduct matters from first instance through appeal and cassation.
Execution is considered from the outset of a dispute, so that the conduct of the proceedings takes account not only of obtaining judgment, but of how that judgment can ultimately be enforced.
We act for government entities, public institutions, insurers, financial institutions and major companies in commercial, employment, insurance, construction, banking, shareholder, contractual and administrative disputes. Our work covers the full course of proceedings, from the initial assessment of the claim and preparation of pleadings through evidence, expert proceedings, hearings and appeal.
Our role does not end with judgment. AMA also handles the execution process, taking the steps required to give effect to court orders and recover amounts awarded. Depending on the circumstances of the case, this may include applications for attachment of assets and bank accounts, travel bans, measures affecting commercial registrations and other enforcement procedures available under Omani law.
